Our design staff was contracted by Balfour Beatty Construction to analyze, evaluate, and value engineer the Port of Tacoma EPS project in Washington State, and was originally designed by WSDOT. This project utilized 6 fills and approximately 20,000 cubic meters of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). AES was able to make recommendations to reduce overall cost of the EPS portion of the project. AES worked closely with the manufacturers to ensure that a quality product was used.
